Place yer bets, will it merge? Or break up fees?

as someone said in the comments of that link, sprintmobile . thats the only nice thing i can say about this proposed merger. me being a prepaid customer, sprint treating prepaid customers as third step-child can not feel too enthusiastic about it. also i doubt legere being in charge idea. at least not for long. as another comment stated in one year t-mobile shook the industry so much that the big three had to come down to earth and lessen the gouging they usually do. in one year.
i am not placing any bets but i wish there is another huge break-up fees so t-mobile can pay off some debts and upgrade the networks and get more spectrum to level the field for customers.

I wish for it as well huge break up fee and the look on mayo-San face when he learns money doesn't equal power, from now on I will call him mayo-San oh auto correct you so silly

The issue i have with it all is everyone thinks tmobile is awesome and pro-consumer, when its the bottom line they care about just the same as the others. they shook up the industry and got a lot of subscribers by it, painted the underdog and for the every-man.

i signed up with a refurb xperia z, had monthly payments of 10 a month, was on their cheapest 50 dollar plan and was paying 80 bucks a month after taxes and fees etc. 80 is how much i was paying for a 2 year contract with sprint to have any device i wanted and unlimited lte. now they changed their plans so that if you want a note 3 with unlimited data you have to pay 80+30 for the plan and phone, add on taxes etc and it would be cheaper with att/verizon (granted you dont get unlimited but most people dont go over 3 gigs).

they changed how the jump plan works to cost even more money, at the end of the day the only thing they did that they wanted to was appear to be more valuable in a buyout offer, the parent company has been looking to get out of the US for years. now that the name tmobile actually means something it means they can get a good deal.

i agree with you shabby that t-mobile is just another company and they have to make money their parent company is probably setting things up to sell for a larger sum but at this moment for their antics we consumers are getting a lot fairer deal than a year before. i am not going to say no to that. as long as they are going to be in the picture everybody gotta watch it.
sprint treats its MVNOs (boost and VM) as step child. if this merger goes through metropcs (i am on it) will probably be treated as step child twice removed. might as well live in 3rd world countries as far as sprint is concerned ;)

I don't think the merger will go through, all indications point to the FCC not approving this and instead wanting to keep four national wireless carriers instead of three.

I tend to agree with you but 1. That 4th carrier right now really dont wanna be a carrier. T mobile has shown numerous times it wants out of the u.s. market. And 2. Its not set in stone t mobile has to be the 4th carrier. If they can get another company in the game (dish, even google has started the wireless company rumors going again) then it has a chance. Both sprint and tmobile have a great argument that with the way its set up now really neither one has a true chance to compete and they dont. Any spectrum the big 2 want they can get leaving sprint and tmobile with nothing. It really is set up as the big 2 and the little 2 right now and that wont ever change in the current market.

Oh man shabby I brought my own devices in january and because of that I am under a one year contract with etf because I didn't get one of their devices when January rolls around I will be sure to negotiate my terms if they are to keep me.

That doesn't sound right....i opened a tmobile line last year with my own device i brought the nexus 4 on it and didnt have to sign a one year. If you had a deposit then yes you have to wait a year to get it back but that doesnt sound right they made you sign a contract....with an etf...and you brought your own device.

Yes went to an authorized dealer, they said I was under a one year, which I said I joined in January how am I under contract, they asked me to go down to the corporate store, they asked where did I sign up, because they were smaggledoorfed as well

Dam if its that easy for them to just use the customers to buy out other companies . dam we should get together and buy them out and call it something else and design our own custom rom and own custom section for any device .:eek::D:what::rolleyes: and also allow for free unlocking of devices we selling. that's correct and let's see who gets the last laugh. Our customer service wont have such knowledge of pull the battery out and wait 30sec. Or the other known one do a factory data reset . and wont have the hello I can't hear you how about I call you back on a landline . they must think we are dumb. .hey I am just saying or also known as thinking out loud.

Sure. Go ahead and raise the 12 billion or so you would need to buy em and start up. Also handle all the oem's objections and threats of not supplying us devices over the rom issue. As far as just unlocking any device anytime our goal is to keep customers not give them incentive to go elsewhere so not a very smart business move....but yea take care of all those and also find a way to pay these great customer service reps because with the oem's all pulling out from us because of the rom issue and people unlocking what devices we do sell and half taking them elsewhere because of coverage issues we havent addressed yet were going to have to be dirt cheap in price. Take care of all those issues we should be good to go then lol
