Plan discount code/links on ebay???

Someone posted about being able to buy a corp discount code on ebay. Anybody have anymore info on this? I searched on ebay but couldn't find any. Thanks

Remember the way most are ripped off is through greed. We require you to fax a pay stub and ID to get a corp discount, plus there is an offline(does not deal with the public) department that adds the discount so you having the code is worthless. It is either a scam artist trying to rip off a greedy person or an idiot that found a profile ID number and thinks he has something of value, which it is not, it is public information, either way a bad situation to get involved with.
 
It is instances like this that make up the few times I am actually against people being informative and helpful. People that do crap like this kind of deserve everything they get.
 
Agreed. Then people get all upset for you coming down on THEM trying to work the system.
 
Relax people, just trying to gather some info for a friend. I already get a substantial discount on my plan (Govt). I've seen this practice posted on here a few times before and unfortunately I didn't subscribe to those threads.

Agreed, but I was afraid I might have to get the call with some knucklehead trying to add a discount code and getting upset when they find out it was a waste of money.

Oh, I understand why you said it and I don't blame you at all for doing it. God knows that none of us needs more stress at work. I just think it would be nice for some of the people trying to screw over the "system" to get what they deserve sometimes. I watched a guy with a brand new iPhone pay for groceries the other day with food stamps. I work hard to pay my bills, feed my kids and pay my taxes. I am actually getting to take my first real vacation in 12 years this coming May and people like this just piss me off. If you can't afford it don't get it and quit trying to get the rest of us to foot your bills.

To the OP, it doesn't matter if it is for you or a "friend" it is wrong and you should have had the balls to tell them that in the first place.

We have it wrong? How exactly? You created a thread asking about buying a code that was supposed to let you get a corporate discount through Verizon from a company that you and your "friend" obviously don't work for. You asked on an open internet forum how to commit fraud against not only one company, but two. You then tried to compare it with going 5 miles over the speed limit. How wrong am I?

Read my 1st post again. Did I say myself or my friend wanted to BUY a discount code? Did I say I want to commit fraud?

My mistake for posting and not pm'ing a mod or admin. Stop overreacting :rolleyes:

If you thought it was wrong you would have reported it on eBay and not brought it up here. It is obvious that you thought it might be a way to save a buck and wanted to know if it would work. The only reason you are trying to change the story now is that you were called out on it. You probably didn't think about it being fraud, but you did know it was wrong. The little comment about speeding proves that. People talking about breaking the rules that they think are minor always compare it to traffic fines. Your comment that I am over reacting only adds more strength to what I am saying, as does claiming it is for your friend.
