Plants Vs Zombies

Hello again people

I have a slight problem with Plants vs Zombies. (HTC Desire)

I got it yesterday with the help from one of the guys off here:

Anyway after doing this all my apps would install and things were great, i was playing of plants vs zombies. On and off it having breaks etc. In the evening i went to play on it again and on load i had:

1/ Instant return to "HTC" Loadup screen and then loaded back up the front screen
2/ Black blank screen and it just stays on this screen, no change, even locking the screen and unlocking it, it stays black

Any ideas? I have tried restarting my phone several times but no go?

After looking around the net a for about 2 hours straight all i have seen is people say:

Reboot your system
Clear Data/Cache
Re-install
Root your phone (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126992)

All above apart from rooting my phone i have done, its really frustrating that it was working now suddenly it just is not argh!!

Help??

Rooting the phone for something like this is beyond ridiculous. There are a million good reasons to root your phone, but you should not need to do that to run this game. This game does not require root access to run, nor does it benefit from it in any way whatsoever. I'd contact the developer and confirm that your phone is supported and see if they have specific instructions on how to fix it.
