platform target error

Whenever I try to install the android platform on netbeans 6.8 and I select the appropriate folder, in the later step when I press next, i get this error: A platform target has to be selected - and there wont be anything to select. What does it mean?

thanks for your help, I have just started out on Android and I am feeling a bit lost

Hey michbar,
Try going into the sdk folder that you have and running "SDK Setup.exe". I did (/forgot to do) the same thing yesterday .

thanks. although i have already done that. it turns out i just needed to restart netbeans.
