Play MP3 from URL?

It looks like there's no android app to play MP3 music from a given URL in a "streaming" fashion, without downloading the entire file before playing it.

Is someone aware of any player with such capability?

Winamp will. Just go to "SHOUTcast" and the bottom option is "Enter Manually". You can enter the URL of most streams there.

I had to restart my phone after install for it to work, your mileage may vary.

Not working. It is not a proper streaming channel. In my case it is simply an mp3 on a website that I would like to play without downloading it.....

Can you stream the mp3 on your PC using a media player? Some hosting companies will prevent streaming copyrighted material. That could be the problem.

Yes I can playback the mp3 with the browsers on my PC.

It seems that there's no Android based music player or internet browser capable to do this....
