Help Play music wont shuffle

Out of nowhere my play music app won't change songs. It keeps repeating the same song. Any ideas?

Make sure you didn't go into an album and play the song before hitting shuffle. If you did that, you basically told it to shuffle all songs under that album which has one song. Go to the Songs tab and click shuffle all and it should work.

If you add the widget for the music player on any one homescreen you can see 2 buttons one for shuffle and the second one on the right hand side with an A with a line underneath. You need to make sure its an A with a line underneath and not an A with 2 arrows around it or a 1 with arrows around it.

I'm having trouble with shuffle as well (in the Play Music app the shuffle "light" is illuminated but when I select a song inside a full album it just plays the album in order) so I added the widget as recommended but the only buttons are play, forward and back. No shuffle or repeat or anything. Same for the stock music widget. What am I missing here?

It sounds like you are just selecting a single song. When you want to shuffle the album, scroll to the top of the list of songs. There should be an item above all songs called, "Shuffle" with the shuffle icon. Tap on that and it should shuffle the songs of the album and play them.

I finally fixed the issue on my phone. I clicked "tracks" tapped on the song to bring up the album pic and song length. On the right hand bottom corner I clicked on the "A" "repeat off"

I messed with this for an hour before trying google. This solved in 3 minutes flat, THANKS. It will scroll through "repeat song" "repeat all songs" etc.
