Play older versions

Hoping someone could help me here.

I'm running Family Guy: The Quest for stuff on Bluestacks (in windows 7)

My game now says : new update available - upgrade to latest version to continue".


I've heard that it should be possible to keep playing the old version without upgrading to the latest. But how do i work it ?

i already unchecked "auto update apps" in the playstore app in Bluestacks, but that didn't help.

There are some apps Which You can continue playing without updating for a quite long time but some Role playing games etc. Or some online games for example miniclip 8 ball pool force you to keep the latest updated version of the app if you want to play it. This is maybe due to their policies.
