Help Play Store, Amazon Store, YouTube, Dropbox fails to connect

The problem started yesterday out of nowhere. Even though I am connected to the internet, none of these apps connect to the internet. I cleared cache and data from Settings -> Apps. Uninstalled all Play Store updates, but no avail. Any idea what the heck is going on?

This is galaxy S4 Play edition, as is i.e. not rooted or anything else. Thanks in advance.

Try to browse some web page on internet in order to check whether your internet connection actually works well.
If it is really fine, check if some special app has disabled your dropbox,... If not, you maybe have to hard reset your S4.

Browsing worked but some odd stuff wouldn't work. Then I figured that I messed around with the wi-fi network setting in order for ad-block to work. While Ad block was finiky at best, it screwed up other connections. I fixed the network setting and it started working again.
