I have my mobile (google pixel) connected to a wired network via an otg cable. The vast majority of apps work smoothly and can access the net without problem, and the phone shows that I have a network connection (i.e. it shows a <--> symbol in the status line).
However, google play does not work, it complains that i don't have wifi or cellular. This is true, because I have to shut them down in the environment I work. But why can't the play store app use my wired connection, like all the other apps do?
