Help Play store pop up?

I keep getting these annoying "we recommend" ad pop ups on my phone. I'm pretty sure it's from the Google play store. It happens maybe about 5 times a day usually after I unlock my phone from sleeping mode I guess. I have the lookout security and air push detector and it shows nothing. Everything is safe. I had the note 3 and then got a LG g3 and still have this problem. Does anyone know what it is and how I can disable it? I took a screenshot of the pop ups

I doubt it's playstore. Download and run Adaware and see if it finds anything. It can usually sniff out these type of apps

Hi guys I've been trying to figure out what these popups are that I'm getting at random times on my Android device. They pop up and fill the screen and try to get me to download random Apps. I have attached a picture of one of them. I have installed several apps the detect adware and viruses and have removed apps that I thought were possibly the threat. However, no luck they still pop up a few times a day. It's driving me crazy, please help.

I started getting this a few weeks ago as well. I have done the following things:
1. Checked for any apps that were new. Got rid of any unused. (No help)
2. Downloaded one of the phone adware programs from a respected vendor and ran it. (it found nothing)
3. Enabled Google App pop-up blocker. (No help)
4. Cleared Chrome Cache (Same result)
5. Called my provider (Sprint-they kicked me to Google support)
6. Called Google Support. (They had me restart my phone in safe mode and asked me to monitor it for a day. That means turning it off and then restarting while holding down volume down button. Then asked me to monitor for a day. If this works then it means it is coming from a downloaded app and I should delete each app individually and check for results. If not they asked me to call them back.

It does not appear that the recommended games come from the same provider. This fix seems tedious but if it works it beats a reset.

Here's the follow up:
1. Under safe mode no pop-up ad.
2. Looked over my added on apps-Nearly all were highly recognized apps unlikely to be generating that. I decided to eliminate a few that could be dubious, although all had come from the playstore. 2 were mp3 downloaders and one was zedge.
3. No more pop-up ads!

Very glad to be back to normal ops.
