When I'm updating a bunch of apps at once, e.g. all updatable apps via "update all" in the play store, then most of the time the update will hang indefinitely after the device was in sleep mode. Does anyone else see this? "hang indefinitely" doesn't mean that the play store app wouldn't respond anymore, but the update doesn't proceed any longer. All the apps that haven't been updated yet have this blue "pending" progress bar animation. Most of the time, one of them (presumably the one that was being updated most recently) has a "Downloading..." or "Updating..." text next to its label. But it won't proceed. You have to click "STOP" and then "Update all" again (and again confirm all the permission requests) in order to continue -- until the next time the device goes to sleep. It's quite annoying. For large updates, you essentially have to babysit the device throughout the update process, rather than starting the update once and then have it complete on its own, unattended.
(I wouldn't have a problem with the update not running while the device is in sleep mode -- but it should pick up and continue on its own after the device wakes up again)
I have a Nexus 5 with Android 4.4.4, stock ROM, unrooted, no unusual apps or anything. I had other Nexus devices previously, I think I saw this issue there too. I'm doing this on a WiFi network (I've disabled updates over 3G).
Does anyone else see this issue?
