What can I do to play avi files created by my Canon PowerShot SD450 on my Galaxy Tab 10.1?

It won't play using the stock player, MX Player or MoboPlayer.

I use Micro Video Converter it's a free App. I convert my Canon video files to Mp4 it's the same as iPad files on the Micro Video Converter program. You get the Mp4 file and the original file in same Dir. Just drag the Canon file to the program.

Miro Video Converter FREE - Convert any video to MP4, WebM (vp8), iPhone, Android, iPod, iPad, and more.

As mentioned, you need to convert the files because I believe Canon doesn't use the original standard format for their AVI files. Probably due to licensing or other royalty based formats where they can circumvent fees and still have good performance on their devices.
