Playing AVI Files

Hi all,

First post here. I just bought a Nexus 10 tablet yesterday, and I would like to be able to play AVI movie files on it. I found this post on the topic, but it is almost two years old. Is yxflash still the best choice for AVI files, or is there a better player I can get?

Your best bet would be an app like MX Player or Dice Player. Either of those have played pretty much any format I've tried on any of my devices.

Also, you can try the vlc media player for android which is a free and powerful media player.

It's kind of sad that the Nexus 10 can't play them without 3rd party software.

After finding MX Player I haven't needed anything else. It finds all videos on your phone automaticly, boosts volume to 30X, resumes where you stoped and you can override any auto setting. What else do you need in a player?
