Playing DVD's (VOB files) over a network

Is there a DVDplayer that can play DV movies i.e. VOB files over a LAN onto a tablet or phone.

Wondershare can play DVD files (from a VIDEO_TS) folder but only if the folder is on the phone/tablets storage, and not a SD card. It can't do it over a LAN.

VideoLAN player does this on a PC and I am lookimg for similar functionality on Android.

I have tried nuemerous players but none can play over a LAN.

Does anyone know of a app that can play DVDs over a LAN?

Many thanks

Frank

I have tried Videolan for Android and it is not as functional as Videolan for Windows.

It will play VOB files on both the phone memory and SD card but will not play from the Video_TS folder like you can on a PC and hence play the whole DVD from the menu to the end. As for the network, there seems to be now way to navigate to a NAS.

The DVDs on the LAN (NAS) are ripped to Video_TS folders. I prefer it that way so I have teh option of choosing sub-titles or extras.

Thanks for your help though.

Thanks Dannydet,

But as I said earlier I want to play the DVD from the Video_TS folder so I have the option of choosing sub-titles or extras.

I don't want to save the DVD as anything else other than a Video_TS folder.

I am just trying to do on my android device what I can do on my PV with Videolan for Windows.
