Playing iPlayer files (wmv) on Android

hello, I've downloaded a BBC iPlayer file using the 'mobile devices' option, which has given me a wmv file.

Is there any way of getting this file to play on my 2.2 Desire?

I've tried various video players, and although some will open the file, I just see a heavily scrambled image & no sound.

Anyone had any luck? I would stream the file I want to watch, but alas, BBC won't allow this unless you're on the THREE network or connected via Wi-Fi (

what a pain. Wish they would be more consistent with who / what / when can access the iPlayer data
