Help Playing SiriusXM through phone app through car stereo

I recently traded in my car that had SiriusXM radio (which I loved for long drives) for a newer model that does not have XM radio. I downloaded the XM radio app on my Galaxy Note 8...there must be a way I can plug into the car's USB port and play XM radio through the phone onto my car's stereo system, but no luck so far.

I am not inclined to purchase the XM Commander Touch system and have it added to the existing set up, if I can help it.

Any suggestions or ideas?

AUX cable or bluetooth adapter would be my best suggestion. USB is for only playing local (stored on your phone) media. If you directly connect an aux cable and charge your phone you will probably get noise, that's why I recommend getting a bluetooth adapter.

Every new car by now (are you in the US?) should have A2DP BT streaming, so you can use BT.

If not, yes there’s lots of BT adapters on amazon. Check amazon in your country for ideas.
