Help Please help - I just want to put music on my S3 SGHT999 and nothing is working

Hi , I just got my Samsung Galaxy S3 about a week ago , bought it off craiglist. It was locked to WIND (AWS frequency in Canada ) and I unlocked it to all the carriers.

I downloaded Kies , it is not connecting to the phone.

I ran Windows update , still nothing.

I went to My Computer , the phone does not show up as a hard drive despite being recognized by PC ( your device is safe to use , one of those pop up messages)

I tried to use WI FI hotstpot , but it is not working at all as it says Network Adapter on the computer does not match the settings on the device

I tried Kies over the Air , it cannot connect to the wireless network despite the fact that I put in the right password

Please help, this is really frustrating
 
Do you have a Micro-SD card for the phone? If so, get an adapter and plug that into the computer and transfer the music over to that, if that doesn't work, make sure all of your drivers are completely up to date, and with the Kies problem, I haven't been able to connect my phone to it either. I think it's a Kies issue.
 
Since you bought it off Craigslist (bad move in my opinion), are you sure the device was fully functional when you bought it? Craigslist is a really shady place.

Yes , the phone is fully operational , everything besides integration with Kies and both of the comps in my house not recognizing it as a harddrive

Yes I do . I have a SGHT999 with Mobilicity in Canada . I went to Samsung's website and got T-mobile drivers and installed that. Still to no avail. I have a 1 GB Micro SD card , but I want to be able to use full internal storage on my phone as I am going to Europe.
