Please help! Just got the Samsung Captivate Glide

Hi, I just got the Samsung Captivate Glide and I cannot figure out how to sync Google calendar with my phone! I need this app for work and my phone says it does not support the app. There should be a way around this, though I can't figure it out. Help me please

Add your gmail to your accounts. On your gmail account, from your computer, set your email/calendar settings to allow automatic synch.
