Please help me root my Asus fonepad7 K012

Problem is updates alone is making the internal storage full. Unless I can force move the default apps to external SD card I have to cope with a partly functional system. Cant install any apps.

I use Ubuntu 14.04. I am a newbie to Android. Please give me a step by step guide about how to root
my fonepad K012 (Android ver.5) from Ubuntu 14.04.
