Please help me with my calendar

So I bought this android FroYo tablet on eBay for 100 euros and I like android :-) but I would really like to get my calendar and contacts synced with my built-in calendar app.

These two options are missing from my Settings - Accounts and Sync.
Only sync Email is available

I took some snapshots but I'm new so I can't upload photo's or links.

Any ideas to fix this? I found nothing in the AppStore, i just need a sync app or a bugfix to also be able to sync my calendar and conacts.

(I think the tablet brand is WonderMedia)

KG and thanks in advance!!

I have the same issue with an Asus TF101 running Android 3.2.1, still looking for a solution. I have the sync for Contacts, Gmail and Picassa under Settings, but not for the Calendr.

Not sure how much of this will help as I have the Asus tablet

If you are trying to sync with Outlook on your PC:

1. Make sure you have Asus Sync installed on the tablet then run it. You will find a small icon at the very bottom of the home screen. This will bring a screen to say that it is connected.
2. Make sure you have Asus Sync installed on your PC

Once you have completed these steps run Asus Sync on your PC and you will get a box asking you if you wish to sync with Contacts or Calendar or both.

Just to emphasise the point. It will not sync if you have not run Asus Sync on the tablet first and made sure you have the connected page in view.

I have assumed Outlook as you did not state what you were synching with - if it another program the first part in terms of the tablet would certainly apply I would imagine.

All the best

I just want to sync my Google Calendar with my tablet buit-in calendar app. The option sync calendar is not available from the list.

Is there
* an independant app which logs in to google and then downloads the events from your google account to my tablet
* a fix to make I can sync directly from my android 2.2?

I don't think the problem lies with the hardware, just some software adjustment would be nice.

In Android 4.0 SDK, Google finally released an official Calendar API. This has finally arrived and soon a lot of apps will be standardized to access Calendar functionalities including what you want here.

This also mean the current crop of Calendar apps that uses un-documented API will soon perhaps not able to run in Android 4.0 at least for those un-rooted.

There are also Social API, media effects API, app by app monitor usage API etc. A lot of those are now standardized in 4.0 and it also mean whatever current crop of apps maybe left redundant by the new API. If the default Android came already with those, why bother get a third party app isn't it ?

Lastly, finally in 4.0 we can have user resize-able widgets. This is also a long awaited feature. No need to install any third party launcher I guess.

The way I see it, pretty much generic features we want will be fulfilled by official API incrementally. Only those very specific features will be developed by third party apps.

But will this be available also for FroYo?

As the post say Ice-cream Sandwich so I don't think it maybe available for Froyo. You may want to ask in those forums that focus on rooting. With root, you can do all sorts of stuff possibly including your requirement.
