Today i installed ROM manager then i click on backup rom after that it ask me to select hp model so i chose the first option.... After that it says requiring superuser permission so i click allow but then it lags suddenly and shutdwn... It nvr on again.... Wat can i do??using samsung galaxy ace android 2.2.1 froxyo
 
This is a very common mistake. Unfortunately you have bricked your phone. Rom manager is not supported by the ace and is very well known and documented to break them. All you can do is take your phone to a service centre and claim warranty. (tell them it was updating to gingerbread via KIES and it died) they should give you replacement.

Nothing can fix this i'm afraid. Please make sure you read up on things in the future to avoid it happening again.

I almost got a heart attack the night my Ace got bricked by Rom manager. There was nothing I could do! All I did was gave it to the service center who replaced the mother board. Or else you can try out the USB JIG method which works 100% but requires electrical knowledge! Search for it in google and you will be able to fix hopefully!
 
No. (and the JIG doesnt always work)

Service centre is your friend. (and of course reading up on things before using them!)

Jig works and my friend who had his Gio bricked by rom manager used that to unbrick. See, if odin can detect the device, it means that the device is not completely dead. But the problem is that the phone is not able to get ON in order to go to download mode as the starting part of the OS is corrupted by Rom manager and the jig helps it to go to download mode directly. Most service center guys use this method though they say that they replace the motherboard. :cool:
 
My phone andriod version 2.3.3 i want to update 2.3.6.i also try with kies it is not work
please help me how to update....by the way i am from myanmar.
 
i got an idea
IF I FORMAT MY SD CARD I PUT ALL THE WIN IMAGE THEN TRY TO MAKE UR PHONE DETECT UR SD CARD THEN WONT IT WORK? i saw it on a websit..
ANY IDEAS?
the only thing is how can i make my phone detect the win image?
