Please Help wifi problem

Hi everyone

I have just got a htc desire on orange.

When i connect to the wifi at work it works fine however it will not download apps from the market and constantly says 'starting download'. I tried 3g and that works and i tried a different wifi connection that works. Does anyone know the reason for the work wifi not to work? i will be using this the most

any thoughts will be appreciated

ask your it guy which ports are being blocked. I'm amazed they even let you on wifi at a business. Our wifi is locked up tighter than fort knox.

hi thanks for this. i will do. If he says certain ports are blocked, will he know what to do? Is there a certain port the market needs? hope that makes sense
