Lurker
my phone is a samsung galaxy s7 active, version: 891AUCS2BRA7,, the problem is that it does not let me update it to android 8 ,, (I do not get the update by OTA) and try to find some firmware but they tell me they are not safe, , I read maybe it was because I did not activate my cell phone at AT & T but I really do not know what to do, I'm already desperate since I'm not an expert, if you know a solution please tell me

Apparently the last officially supported upgrade for your Active is Nougat. Since neither the manufacturer (in your case Samsung) nor the carrier (AT&T) has an Oreo ROM for your model, your options to upgrade past that are limited. You can go through the process of rooting it and flashing a custom ROM (not a trivial process for the uninitiated) or just continue using your phone as is.

I used to have this same cell phone but with android 8, I changed it because it had failures in the port jack, but in this cell phone I look for updates and it tells me that it is updated, in the official page of at & t it appears to me that the last update is from android 8 with version: G891AUCS4CRK1, so the problem is the cell phone ,,,, but in the center of attention I read that I have to have my line in at & t to receive updates

I am living in MEXICO with the 'weex' network, will that be the reason why it does not update?

You won't get an OTA update because you aren't using it with an ATT SIM. The only way round that is to download the software from somewhere and install it yourself. Usually I'd say go to Sammobile.com, but unusually I can't see anything there - I don't know whether that's because it's an ATT exclusive?

(As you know, ATT describe the update on their support site but don't seem to have links to download the software, or not that I've spotted).
