Help Please help!

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S2
Carrier: Sprint
Area: Central Florida

My phone will not send or receive text messages while roaming. My girlfriend has the same issue, and the same phone. Before I traded in for the Galaxy S2, I had the Galaxy S (Sprint Epic 4G) and I did not have this problem. Both where I live and where I work, my phone is roaming. How can I solve this problem?

Hi

Assuming the phones can send and receive calls, I suggest you contact Sprint. Calls and SMS (but not MMS) use the same radios so if calls work its not a fault with the phone.

i agree.. girolez.. call sprint.
both phones have the same issue.. so most likely the carrier that you are roaming on.


PS. this might need to be moved to sprint or your phone subform. and title should be more descriptive.

Yes, voice calls do work. And if I send a picture message it works as well. Just regular texts refuse to send while roaming.

Ok so I found a temporary fix. I just turned roaming OFF. Now it forces the phone to use a Sprint tower to send and receive. Problem is, the service in general both at my house and my work is minimal at best. I find it funny looking at Sprint's coverage maps, I should have good service in both locations...
