Please Need Help on my new S3!!

Hi everyone,

I am a converted iPhone user, well at least I want to be. I am completely confused on how to set default apps. I want to make handcent my default texting app, but when I go to my app manager and every single app when i click on it and go to the "launch by default" the "clear defaults" is always greyed out so I cant change anything. What is the default apps to clear for messaging, emailing, anything else.

Please teach! I am struggling to understand this phone and its not making it pleasant. Also could you recommend the best email app? Androids stock one is horrible.

There is no need to set Handcent has default......Just use it.

Go to your standard SMS app and turn off Notifications so you don't get them twice.
And forget the standard SMS app is there.

The set as default comes more into play with things like Gallery Apps (QuickPic Recommended) and internet browsers (Dolphin HD Recommended)
and things like that

ok here is another issue i am having. I am receiving picture messages as MMS and it plays it as a 20 second movie which takes like 10 seconds to see it, how do i fix that?

If the photos were sent as a slideshow they will show that way. Only option is to save the photos then you can open them in gallery or whatever. otherwise have to tell the person sending them to not send them as a slideshow.
