Please pray for hroark

Quote from hroark him self

I am having health issues, and I have to focus on getting my body healthy.

I have to lose about 115 pounds of fat that has accumulated on my body from years of abusing alchohol, eating fast/junk food, and being very inactive. I think I may be getting diabetes, because my eyesight is starting to get blurry at times.

I started a diet on July 5th, and so far it is going very good.

Do not be concerned for my health, I have an excellent strategy to lose the weight, and I am finally motivated to do it (after a very long time of just saying that I need to do it)

When I am motivated, I am a very determined and disciplined person.

I have done research and I think my weight loss strategy is so good, that I will be at my idea weight of 205 in 4 months give or take a few weeks.

I will still be coming on the forum to read and post a bit, so I am not falling off the face of the planet or anything

oh wow!!! you can do it, just need to focus on the plan and stick to it. i wish and hope the best for you, and you will prevail!!:D:)

Rapid weight loss can be a scary deal.

As a lifelong fitness nut and NASM certified personal trainer (got certified to help my goals, I don't train others) I have seen many crash diets and also seen end results.

I pray Hroark13 does things safely.

Hroark13 has been a friend to everyone here (if not on a first person level he has influenced those who help you in some manner) and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Hi all

thank you for the good wishes, I am being safe, and I am confident that I will succeed

Just so you guys know, I do come back and check out the Prevail forum from time to time to see what is new, I still use my Prevail as my main phone

I have not been doing too much dev work on any phone for a few weeks now, It does take up a lot of time, and I have been trying to catch up on areas of my life that I have been neglecting.

Good to see you around bro. You can do anything you set your mind to do, man. Stay focused, stay positive and you'll reach your goal. :)

Hey dont really know you but I have a friend who was over 400lbs and shes lost over 105 as of sunday. Took her a couple months but shes doing great. I believe if she can do it so can you bro! You will be pray'd for so let go of all your worries and just sit back and enjoy life, all will work out if you want it to.

Stay positive man. Take it from me. I've lost my life and been bed ridden for the past 7 years 24/7. Just stay positive, you can do anything. Were all behind you.

You can do it bro! Determination is key. In the last year i have lost almost 70lbs! I went from 268lbs to now just under 200, and still dropping! (while quitting smoking, too)
My motivation was driven by my sleep apnea and "acid reflux". My Gf would tell me that i would stop breathing in my sleep several times a night, and i was taking very powerful stomach acid reducing medication daily (along with TONS of antacids to control my indigestion/stomach acid (Tums, Rolaids, etc).

As of now, i sleep thought the night, my apnea is virtually gone and i have not taken any acid reducers/antacids in around 4 months (perhaps more). The transformation was not nearly as hard as i would have assumed. I just made a plan and stuck to it to the letter. Like you said Hroark, you just need to be truly motivated for change. Good luck on your journey. The biggest thing is waking up every day and being committed to change (no matter how delicious that cake may look :o)

The first step is (was) realizing there is a problem. Keep your head up! It only gets better from here :)

Goto Amazon and look in the section: Health & Personal Care and search "hcg drops". I lost about 30 lbs in one month. I had to follow a specific diet to the program. I wasn't hungry at all. You can find the free ebook food guides on the net. I did zero exercise. Find someone with good feedback and I wouldn't pay over $35 for one bottle.

Hroark what youve done for all of us is spectacular youve opened the door for developers you've personally helped me in the past and for that i thank you i wish you the best of luck with your diet ill be praying for you :D anythings possible if we put our minds to it take care buddy and best of luck

god bless hroark,i hope all works out for the best with you!im not well known around here, but you are,and your work is apprecaited by many!
thanks again for all your contributions to the android community!

I don't pray, but I believe you've got the strength inside to do this. You've got a healthy attitude and incentive, you've got people who support you. You can. You will succeed.

Without hroark, I wouldn't have any clue what to do with ROM developing. (I still don't know all that much, but I pretend like a boss) Thank you, hroark. Best of luck to you, keep us updated. I'm not a prayer/religious person...but I wish the best for you and a speedy (but healthy) recovery!

I don't know hroark, but I can relate to his physical condition. In my case an active lifestyle and good genes allowed me to eat and drink as much as I pleased without any noticeable consequences until recently. It was only after I made a career out of working in front of a computer in my early 30s that I started gaining weight and feeling bad. I too would be a lot better off if I dropped a lot of weight, but have found that it's not as easy to get back in shape as when I was young and losing weight was only to keep my gut from getting past my 32" waist jeans. (And a few sit-ups could take care of it.)

I hope that you're doing everything under medical supervision, hroark! Losing that kind of weight is not for amateurs, and not like a TV show. Remember that diet is good, but diet and exercise is best. Get to love the pain of pushing your body to its limits, and look forward to the day when your body will be able to move like the wind, effortlessly...and feel great!

I may or may not have come across you before but that is irrelevant to this post. I wish you well in your journey and God speed in achieving your health goals. You obviously have garnered a lot of respect from other members here, and it is nice to see the family side of AF come out and support you.

Do you cycle? Each to their own, but in terms of exercise it's got to be something that's enjoyable, rather than a chore. I'm useless at jogging or running but can cycle pretty much non-stop, though it's good to make a day of it & stop off in decent places, taking it leisurely* & enjoying local scenery (surprising how near to home you can find decent countryside).

*Taking it leisurely on a bike is good because you don't need to push yourself but if done fairly regularly, journey times will shorten & you find you start to use higher gears for hills. You see the results without having to push yourself too hard. But like I said, it's better if it's doing something enjoyable.

Ever since I have decided to make this change in my life, my work has just become hectic. I have a small IT business, and everyone of my clients has been calling me, and hard drives are going out left and right. So I have not been able to start a good exercise regimen yet, but I will.

I have a mountain bike, a stationary bike, and a treadmill, and I will utilize all three of them.

I have to start a little slow, because I am so out of shape, but I will toughen up pretty quickly.

Otherwise I am doing good with my diet that I started on July 5th, I have not cheated, and I have not consumed any alcohol.

My body is in ketosis / lipolysis so any energy I do expend will burn my stored fat.

I have discovered a great way to induce lipolysis by drinking a lot of strongly brewed White Peony tea

Here is a link to some research that was done, and I can confirm it works

White Tea extract induces lipolytic activi... [Nutr Metab (Lond). 2009] - PubMed - NCBI

I am also adding Sage and Rosemary extract to the tea for the ursolic acid, which should help build muscle and brown fat

Peels show more promise | Iowa Now - The University of Iowa

I am also drinking a lot of water and eating an ultra low glycemic diet

I am taking a good multi vitamin, and in addition taking calcium, magnesium, and potassium, since all the water I am drinking is flushing these supplements out of my body

Sounds familiar. Just a thought, but if you can afford to do it, take a sabbatical. I know it's risky (my entire retirement fund is gone) but sometimes that's what it takes.
