Please recommend me a good tech stock.

Hi everyone,

I have some 'play' money, and I'd like try buying some tech stock with it.

I'm wondering if you could recommend me a good tech company to experiment buying shares in?

Thanks

Nokia. :p

I actually thought about going with Amr after the media reported they were going bankrupt and their shares took a bigger nose dive. That would've been a good move if I would've sold them shortly after there were rumors that Delta was going to buy them.

Be careful . . . never buy stocks unless you do a little research.

So what are your goals? A quick buck or long-term growth?

I have done well with my "stocks" of US Postage stamps. If I sell, I will realize an annual growth of about 30%, averaged over the years.

I avoid stocks and buy stuff with potential. Sell high, buy low and all that.

You mean jump on the last car on the money train? Yes, I have noticed people often purchase when they hear dire news. No offence, but you are the last to know; well, you and the others that read the article.

Smiley.

google, MS, apple, HTC, samsung,

'good', I guess that's like beauty - up to the beholder ;)

A few years ago, a group of friends and I did an online stock game, I had some in google.... then I forgot the account so I never got to finish the game ... (shrugs)

But, you also have to keep in mind that some people tend to panic when they hear bad news. Yes by the time it reaches the media, that means some people have already started buying the low selling stock, but as I stated, you also have some people that are looking to get out. I never understood why people want to sell when there's bad news being reported, to me I'd rather stay pat or buy when I hear bad news about a stock, not sell when its low. Same goes when you hear promising news, some people for some reason want to start buying but they're buying high at that point.

It's all speculative at this point, but when stock is volatile, that's where you will gain/lose the most money of course. However, if you're looking for a long term investment then it's probably not a good investment for you.
