I can't recall how to change the setting where I don't need to press the ok button after putting in my unlock passcode.

Go into the lockscreen settings, select PIN as if you want to change it, and under the "new PIN" dialogue you should see a tick box for this. You probably have to set a new PIN as well for it to work, but I'm sure you can just set the same one you are already using.
