Help please tell me why I should not crush this horrid excuse for a phone?

would like someone here please to give me a wonderful reason NOT to crush this absolutely useless piece of garbage called a phone. It literally sucks in every aspect. It seems to be nothing more than a childs toy?? I have an external card (16g) and have moved stuff over to it but it can't even handle running facebook without freezing, glitching or shutting down.....absolute shite!! Even with facebook removed, it still takes forever. I have downloaded the android memory cleaner app and wiped the cache twenty times a day....I'v stopped 90% of the useless apps it came with, I can't even connect to the Kies program to back the piece of garbage up as it says 'it does not support my device'??? honestly, it this just developed as test of will?

The memory cleaner is probably responsible for at least some of your problems. Uninstall immediately!

Wiping caches wastes power and CPU cycles since they will just reload again as needed anyway. Usually is best to just leave them alone. Cache files are there for a reason - to stash data for quick retrieval later. Let them do their job.

Users often cause themselves grief by trying to micromanage everything on their devices. But Android is a fairly mature, very well designed OS that can take care of itself. Leave it alone and let it work as intended.

Hi

To get more detailed advice (I agree with crashdamage's comments) it would help to know which device you have , which "cleaner" apps you have tried, is it rooted?, is it a Samsung?

Roger

It is a Samsung GT- S7560M. I will delete the app (cleaner) app that I installed. I have tried no other apps. Onewould think that such a 'wonderful' device could run at least a couple of email accounts and facebook without becoming so ridiculously slow. Every comment I have seen (and thousands of them) all point to it being a dud. What is the safest and most efficient fix to make this thing at least act 1/4 of the efficiency of my antiquated iphone 4 was at least?

also, since installing the android cleaner app, it is faster...when I 'boost' (as it calls it) and cleans caches, it runs 90% faster that it did without it? soooo.....

HI again

To be honest, it has much lower specs and capability than an iPhone4 running iOS. Since it was first produced 2 years ago, the demands made by "big" apps such as facebook have increased a lot and older phones cannot cope well.

Roger

This is a relatively low-spec 'budget' phone. Only a 1Ghz CPU and 768mb RAM. You can't expect much from such a unit. You get what you pay for.

That said, it should perform ordinary tasks adequately. Keep things simple and lightweight. Minimum of widgets and other background stuff running, etc. Don't waste power, memory and CPU cycles mucking around with the system operations. Let Android handle things.

If a 'memory cleaner' was a Good Thing it would have been included on the phone from the factory.
