Pls help - how to disable auto adding of international number before each number dialled?

Every time I dial a local number my phone (HTC Desire Z) automatically adds the local international number (+91).

I cannot dial many numbers anymore because this them up!

I remember that one window once popped up a few months ago and asked if I wanted to auto-complete numbers by adding international code and I pressed yes and since then this happens. I have no clue to which app it is related. I checked settings of all apps but could not find such option.

What shall I do?

Are you using the default dialler/phone app? If you think it might have been something you changed or installed and can't find what it was. Probably best doing a factory reset, that will bring it back to the defaults. Remember to backup anything important first.

Yes, mikedt, I'm using the default phone app. I could not find any settings to change this auto completion.

If I do a factory reset, will I have do again download all apps? What about the ones I moved to the SD card? I have never done this before. I guess the contacts should be backed up since I save them in my google account.

Should I take out the SD card before I reset?
