PLU lookup tool

I work at a a produce stand and it'd be great to have a tool with which to lookup PLU codes from plucodes.com at the spur of the moment. With fruits and produce going in and out of season it takes a seasoned cashier to remember all the codes and an app would come in handy during those difficult times.

I could write this app, So would it just do the stuff under "search plu codes"?

Would it need to scan barcodes? Or just what the web site does?

I would only need it to search the database on the website, since my we register items manually.

But another useful tool at a produce stand would be a calendar of the seasonal and regional availability of fruits and veggies.
