Yesterday I tried to upgrade my Galaxy Apollo (GT-I5800L) to Froyo using the steps on the sticky post on this section. Sadly, Odin just stucks on "boot.bin download.."

I left the Odin for more than 6 hours and nothing happend... so I disconnected the USB cable and tried different firmwares "I5800XXJPB, I5800XXJPF" with the same results.

Any ideas? Am I screwed?

same thing here it seems that telcel somehow blocked the phone, i tried different versions of windows, even different versions of drivers and it doesn't work at all, if someone could help us it woud be very nice

I have posted this already under the sticky "Upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2...." but will repeat it here:

"I am thinking that the i5800L is a bit like the i5801 in that it is a Network Provider based phone. Try flashing it again with ODIN but DON'T check the 'Protect OPS' box.

Make sure you do a hard rest first through recovery mode, not through code on phone, ie press Vol Up + Home + Power button. Then use Vol Up and Vol Down button to go through menu. Select Wipe Cache/data then Select Factory Reset.

Wait for phone to reboot then switch it off. Remove battery and wait 3-4 minutes. Re insert battery and then go through the flash procedure again.

If that still doesn't work flash version 2.1 again until you have a stable working version of 2.1.

Then try flashing 2.2 again making sure you do a hard reset first."
