Help Plz Help !!! Unable to access Music, Pics from external card

Unable to access Music, Pics from external card of my micromax canvas hd.
I have formated my card which solved the problem but it again came back. Cant do it again.
Mounted then rebooted which didnt work
Also app like scan media didn't work which showed error " unfortunately system ui has stopped".
Plz suggest something in detail.

Does the card work in a different device or computer? Sounds like the SD card may have failed, which is not uncommon.

I can access videos from external card. Also can access music from file manager.
So sd card have not failed i guess.
