Plz help with htc m8 (music players)

I just got my m8 and in the past few days there have been 2 software updates and it appears that htc automatically installs new apps. One of these is called 'car' and when I try to delete it, it does not let me, it only presents the option to edit it.

So the problem is, I get into my car and my phone connects on Bluetooth. My music from shuttle doesn't play, instead the app that is part of car plays. I went into the car app, and in the settings I unchecked the box that said 'auto play on Bluetooth connect.' I just tested it and the music from the car app still automatically plays in my car. The bother with this is it isn't the artist I was listening to previously on my shuttle player.

I'd like any advice if possible. Uninstalling these apps would be my go to move but like I said, it's not letting me.

Thanks for reading!

You cannot uninstall system apps, but do you have the option to disable it instead (Settings > Apps > All, select "car" and look for a disable button)?

(I don't know because my HTC is rooted and NAND security disabled, so I do have the option to uninstall stuff like this).

The other thing that occurs to me is that HTC have had a "car" app since before the M8, so chances are this isn't really new. In which case "uninstall updates" might be an option - though probably not if it was an actual system update that changed it. Worth looking anyway.

Hey guys. Thanks for the responses. I actually was able to disable the app. I did some other things like clear the cache etc. But, it still automatically connects to my car! Any other ideas? Perhaps a problem with the software updates...?
