Pnadigital color multimedia (White) didnt update!

My oandigital novel did not update at all! i downloaded everything went through the process like disconnected my pdn than held the start button (pushing it to the left) and the volum key (pushing the +) and for 5 seconds, nothing happened no downloading nothing. I looked into my files it had those files downloaded and all, started with a SH- something. but it had no effect at all...help? did i do anything wrong? can you give me VERY detailed intructions for after ive run everything all over again? what should do i really want to update it...
