Podcast app

About to get a Moto E for a backup/holiday phone, is there a Podcast app for downloading podcasts easy? I use iTunes and it's easy to get podcasts, when I last had Android a good few year ago, never really found a solution as easy as iPhone/iPad had on it.

Or do you just download the podcasts in iTunes in a computer and copy the MP3 file over to the Android phone?

I use Pocket Casts. DoggCatcher and BeyondPod are both also popular options. There are quite a few podcast apps now. You will probably have to spend a few bucks to get one of the better ones though. Most will have options for streaming, downloading, when to delete, etc.
 
Don't mind buying at all as long as they work and are decent. The Apple podcast works great for streaming and downloading so as long as similar will be fine.

I take it then you can download direct in the app and save to SD card? Do the above have access to all podcasts like Apple app?
 
I use Doggcatcher and like it. Both Doggcatcher and BeyondPod have trial versions. Try both in the Play Store and see what you like best before you buy
