Podcast functionality similar to iPhone

Hi,

I've just moved from iOS to Android. I subscribe to alot of music podcasts.

One think I liked about my iPhone was I could subscribe to a podcast in iTunes and it would sync with my iPhone. Once subscribed I could check for new podcasts to download on my iPhone or on iTunes and they would sync. I was hoping doubletwist would do this for me but you can only sync podcasts you have downloaded from PC so you can't check for new podcasts using the DoubleTwist phone app itself.

Is there anything that would do this for me? I downloaded PowerAmp Pro but it seems they have missed out on podcast functionality.
 
Never been an iPhone user, but I'm pretty sure Apple blocks functionality to Android syncing with iTunes. I know when the Palm Pre (webOS) first came out, you could sync and Apple shut that down in a hurry.

FWIW, my favorite podcast program is PodTrapper.
