Podcast, no Audio

There is one Podcast I enjoy listening to and this past summer all of a sudden I can see it playing but there is no audio whatsoever and the best of my knowledge nothing has changed on my phone and I can listen to a few other podcasts that I enjoy and anything else perfectly well.... But just this one podcast there is no audio, unless i download it then listen. Can someone point me in a direction to correct this? Thank you

Don't want to be nosy but it would help if you provided a link to the podcast in question. Without an actual example of the problem, all suggestions we might provide are based on hearsay and idle supposition. And please don't take this as being dismissive in any way but there are so many different podcasts online now, your query is just a vague reference to a possibility. More details please.

Could be a problem with this particular podcast's stream then(with their streaming server), if downloads and other streams are OK.

I usually listen to podcasts as downloaded files anyway, using AntennaPod, and don't stream them.

Hello, as I said before I can listen to other podcasts and this one in particular I had listened to for over 2 years and then earlier this summer all of a sudden the audio was not coming through, I checked with the Podcast and they knew of no others that were having this issue. I would much rather just go to the site and stream the podcast than download it. I was asked to post a link to the Podcast so here is todays:

https://garagelogic.com/episode/10-...sful-means-of-testing-our-downfall-continues/

I can go there and click play and I can see that it is playing but there is no audio whatsoever.... It just seems extremely weird, just totally odd that I can listen to anything else (podcasts) except Garage Logic's shows.

Well, I checked the link, and it plays just fine for me.

I am using a fork of a great browser called Lightning, and the fork is called Midori.

This is not my normal browser, it is just the one that I have set up for this site.

Perhaps the issue is within whatever browser you are using.

Yes, I understand that you can listen to various other podcasts- but not all podcasts are formated the same, and not all browsers can utilize all formats.

You didn't say what app or browser you use to listen to these podcasts, so I cannot test this myself at this point.

At any rate, Lightning is a top notch browser, and so are various forks of it that are available and have various different features.

Perhaps, as I did with this site, you could use one of these browsers as a dedicated app to listen to these podcasts.

I just make the homepage into the site that I desire, and use bookmarks to navigate.

You could have as many podcast links as you like for bookmarks, and tabs are unlimited as well.

It plays just fine on my Samsung phone and Macbook, using the Firefox browser.

Maybe try a different browser?

Sorry I've been away for a bit but I use the Chrome browser that came on my Samsung phone. I was able to listen to the specific Podcast for asked for probably close to 2 years and then just one day the audio was not coming through... I have looked repeatedly through any settings and so forth and I'm just at at a loss why something like that would just change d.id not impact other listeners.
The only way I can listen to this Podcast is if I download it which I prefer not to do.
Thank you very much for your help an advice it is very much appreciated

Like others who have posted comments, I didn't have a problem listening to their streaming content either (using the Firefox Focus and Chrome apps)

Have you tried clearing the Chrome browser app cache? Perhaps something just got corrupted on that specific page that's messing up media playback. Since it was working out OK previously this sounds (bad pun intended) to be more of a temporary, fixable glitch issue than anything.
A more involved suggestion would be to switch to a different browser app. Google's Chrome app may be feature-rich and secure, but there's also the integral privacy sink-hole that every Chrome user should take into consideration.

I have almost the same problem, used my car's bluetooth media for podcasts with no problems for 2 years until september, then suddenly the smartphone said it's connected and the app (podcastaddict) is playing but no sound comes out, neither it seems to recognize the car keys to play/pause the track. even voice commands don't work, but the devices result connected on both the car and the smartphone, media play on bluetooth is on, phone calls is on.
my phone is a xiaomi pocophone f1.
I checked and tried a lot of solutions but nothing worked. even got into developer options to change things but didn't work.
I tried other older podcasts I've already listened to, same result.
recently my car didn't get any update, my phone didn't get any update, podcastaddict support says it's not their problem, the problem persisted by using other music apps, the smartphone apps relative to bluetooth etc didn't get updates, android system apps neither.
the only thing that changed was android auto updates, plus when I connect the phone via usb and use android auto I can listen to the podcasts without any problem.
I checked with another phone and it worked only the first time then it got the same problem, but it was a xiaomi too and it had android auto too.
I checked with my bluetooth earbuds and sometimes I get the same problem (playback on but no sound), but after a few seconds they disconnect, reconnect and it works fine.
