how do i get rid of that "pointing finger" image on the lower left side of the screen on my (android) samsung galaxy s captivate?

I've gotten rid of it before, but can't remember how.

Nevermind ... I fixed it. It's in settings, locale and text, swype settings, etc.

There is no "pointing finger icon" anywhere on Android natively, unless you are referring to a specific app feature which put it there. Dolphin HD browser has it for example to toggle the gesture controls. Just go into the settings of the app which has that icon and turn off gesture controls
