Polar H10 HRM not pairing via Bluetooth after Nougat update

Hi, everyone,

I know that by now Bluetooth issues in Android Nougat are commonly known but I just ran into this myself and was wondering if anyone has found a solution or a workaround?

Ok, so after my A5 got updated to Nougat (officially, OTA), I immediately lost the ability to pair and use my Polar H10 heart rate monitor. It was working perfectly well while the phone was on Android 6.0 and the H10 is STILL working perfectly well on any Android 6.0 device (have to old LGs at home...). I tried every possible "solution" online, including wiping the cache on the phone, resetting the network settings, even factory resetting the phone, nothing works, naturally.

The phone sees the sensor but is unable to pair, neither from the settings nor from within any of the fitness apps, including Polar's Beat app.

I've reached out to Polar who said that they are looking into this issue. I tried reaching out to Samsung but their online feedback form is broken atm (something else to put on the complaints list) so I still haven't been able to contact them.

Anyone else with this frustrating problem? I tried using Odin to restore my device to Android 6.0 but it fails. Fortunately, I haven't bricked my phone and I am not very good at messing around with firmwares so I'd rather not destroy it for the sake of the heart rate sensor but still...

Thanks in advance if you have a word of wisdom to share.

Well, after a month, Polar is still looking into it and I haven't heard from them yet. Went to Samsung care center and was disappointed by their approach. They said that they can only test compatibility with other Samsung products, the guy didn't even want to hear me out. I asked well ok what if there were incompatibilities with Samsung devices? They'd replace the motherboard. As if that would solve anything! The guy there told me to wait for an update. Of course they refused to downgrade it to Marshmallow even when I begged. And I cannot downgrade it myself since the bootloader updated between 6.0 and 7.0 and every time I try to use Odin to flash it, I get an error. Fortunately, I haven't bricked by phone but I gave up.

This might seem as a first world problem, but I paid for both the Polar and A5, and now I have to carry two mobile phones whenever I train (I'm using my old sluggish LG to connect Polar to) or go for a run, which is annoying as hell. Anyway, looking forward to the October security patch, maybe they'll sneak in a fix for this...

I have the same problem. My Sigma HRM (Heart Rate Monitor) is seen but do not able to connect with any of my sport APP's.
The Samsung Service-desc advice was to restart phone Factory Default.
I want to avoid it. I like new functionalities.
