Poor gargled/underwater quality on Samsung Galaxy S II built-in music player?

Hello everyone!

I've just joined this forum and have owned my first android (Samsung Galaxy S2) for almost a week now, so please excuse my lack of expertise :)

I seem to be having major problems with the phone's built-in music player, in which all of my songs (both on headphones and the speaker) have a very poor, gargled quality and sporadic chirps and clicks on the right channel.

The problem first started when my battery was critically low, and so I thought an overnight charge, a quick battery pullout, and a reboot would do the trick. I've also restored defaults on the music player and the phone's power usage...but alas my music still sounds like a very old record under water

My first bet was to return the phone, but I was hoping others might have some insight on setting changes or reliable apps that would fix the issue.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I have got the same problem.. but mine is only a few music files.. Im trying to find answers to this problem, but Its defnitly a glitch with ICS becuz it never used to do this with gingerbread on my samsung s2

I've begun to notice this too. At first, when the problem appeared, all songs would sound this way. But now it's just 2 or 3 files. Still, pretty annoying.

Anyway, I paid a visit to my local carrier and they had no idea what to say. They only recommended exchanging the phone in case of an in-factory malfunction.
