I'm having issues with my gf's Cliq having EXTREMELY poor performance and overall problems, specifically with messaging apps (particularly 3rd party apps, but the native app also suffers from performance issues from time to time). She has accumulated several thousand messages so maybe it's just bogged down by a massive message database, but if that is the case I'm extremely disappointed with how Android (1.5 at least) is handling the messaging database because my iPhone has well over 10,000 msgs and handles them pretty well without a hiccup.
Will the updating to 2.1 bring an increase in performance or decrease? I'm worried the new version has much higher demands on hardware performance and the Cliq seems to have been neglected in that department.
