I have these "Just for you" pop up ads appear on my phone, usually whenever it is idle and I turn it on it then loads up the ad. It has a google play store logo in the corner and then it has the suggested app to download next to it, usually some sort of slots game or the like.

Anyone have any idea how to remove it? it doesnt seem like malware if its from the google play store so not sure if I need to turn a setting off or if its from an app I have downloaded ??

any help appreciated

I have a HTC One M8

The ads won't be from the Play Store, that's just where they are linking to (or at least say they are). They'll be from some app or other that you've downloaded.

Ads that pop up when you are not in an app are supposed to be banned under play store rules, so I'd start by looking for anything you installed from elsewhere first. I'd also consider your browser as a suspect - you might want to read this thread in case it's relevant to your problem (there are a few related things in there, so you prob should read all of it rather than just the first post).
