How do I get rid of popup ads?

Without any more information... all i can suggest is removing the app that's causing them... (hopefully you're only installing apps from legit sources like the play store, and not from apk files)

I'd suggest uninstalling them to start with. Then look at clearing the cache and data of any installed browsers to see if that does the trick.

A bit confused, you just said you downloaded popcorn time outwith play?

Popcorn Time doesn't come from Google Play or Amazon Appstore, with it being an app for piracy. Possibly wherever it was sideloaded from had a malware/adware payload?

I removed stremio but not popcorn time and I used ccleaner to clean up the cache and that solved my issue. Thanks guys.
