porting ancient openwave browser for new sprint i1 android w/ direct connect

eigerzoom

Lurker
openwave browser was monumental on early devices back into 2003
still showing up on recent phones like verizons krave zn4.....
the importance of this legacy application is stilll maintained in large corporations & fleet/logistics companies across a network of outdated impractical devices like the motorola i30sx..or others supplied with openwave browser...i330...etc
it would be outstanding if the now discontinued/sold openwave browser could breath new life into a modern phones ability to support fleet services still in use today.

you can use the internet archive to navigate the old openwave developer web pages
a little clunky but alot of information is there i guess
i have a few pertinent apps maybe of interest
these are the sdk for app building with the browser itself
and also the last released simulator
navigate to my public ftp for these files
Index of /eigerzoom/Cellular/openwave

here's a couple wayback machine links...more for testing the browser
Openwave Developer Network - Tools & SDK - IDE Integration
Openwave Developer Network - Tools & SDK - Openwave Phone Simulator

i also still have an i30sx moto phone if it could be useful to a developer
however possible or impossible this idea might be...i dont really know

i dont know enough
but from my personal experience
no other browser works the same
only phones with the openwave browser would work with these fleet services
its been about 2 years since i've used any of these services however
