Porting number from VZW to ATT Prepaid

Yes, you are able to port your number from Verizon to att prepaid. Make sure you speak with the prepaid department for att to set up service. You have to speak with Verizon after you create an att account.
 
Thanks. I'll most likely be losing my unlimited data on VZW soon, and increasing the amount of int'l travel I do for work, so making the switch to att may make sense.
 
When porting a number from one carrier to another this may take from 24hrs to 72hrs and more . Don't panic if the phone can be used to call and not receive calls in just keep in contact with both carriers to insure the porting takes place and service is working full . I had to wait 5Days come to find out the carrier i was leaving wasn't doing their job to help with the porting .
 
Also:

Do not cancel your current service from Verizon first. Start the number porting process while your service is active. A number must be active to port.
