Possible Droid phone coming to Virgin Mobile?

At LEAST as much as the optimus, probably more. I'd venture to say 249.99 personally.

My biggest question, is how much of a "step up" this is from the optimus...

Well, the Triumph will use the same processor as the HTC Thunderbolt. The Optimus V gets about 500 on Quadrant and the Thunderbolt gets about 1800.

New Incredible 2 has same processor and a 1450 mAh battery.
Vanilla OS should have a longer battery life than running Sense.

If that article is accurate then we will probably never see a HTC on VM.
HTC is more than just the phone hardware, it is also Sense UI. The phone without Sense UI is just another Android and no more or less interesting than the one before it, where then is the drive or interest to buy the new phone?
This is sad, I had hoped for a HTC Android phone in the future, but if they are not going to let the Sense UI on the phone it would not be worth buying.

I've been using the Triumph since Sept. 8. As a mobile device I'm very happy with it. I switched from Straight Talk, since they didn't have an Android phone at the time and their then-upcoming Android phone had a smaller screen. The call quality is inferior to Straight Talk (Verizon system), but mostly workable.

My one complaint so far has to do with the voice mail system. When I tried to record a personal greeting, the sound quality was terrible. I even re-recorded the message from a land line and it still sucked. Likewise when listening to voice mail, the sound quality was terrible. I'm quite surprised, actually. I'm not sure whether this is a phone issue or a 3g issue or an issue from the platform that hosts the voice mail, but it's serious enough that I'm 20% considering switching back to Straight Talk. I'll have to give it some time to think the issue through.
