Possible LCD Screen Digitizer Fault

Hello,

A few weeks ago my Galaxy S3 was dropped in water for a very short while (I know I know...). The phone was immediately turned off and was dried out for a good number of days. When I turned the phone on for the first time it showed the phone booting up but then it went black. Now all I have is a black screen BUT the lights at the bottom work and the blue light is on. My alarm also goes off at the same time each day which makes me think it needs a replacement LCD screen?

Is the case, basically I need peoples opinions on this before I go ahead and buy a replacement LCD digitizer, as these things arent cheap.

Could it be anything else or the worse case scenario.. the phone is knackered!!

Take it to a service centre if you can. Yes it could be something else. Water is corrosive. It could have corroded where the screen meets the mainboard then that would need replacing too.

You need someone who knows what they're doing assessing the internals IMHO

I work in IT. My warranty allows me to fit LCD panels to laptops so I do. Although my s3 wouldn't have warranty, I still wouldn't do this myself. Get the phone assessed professionally. Also if they break something further, they're accountable
