possible reason for unlock lag?

ok just had a thought you know we get that lag when unlocking the screen? well you know most other devices running 2.3 or higher when u lock /unlock the screen you get that sorta screen powerdown animation? like a old tv shutting off well samsung disabled that on the ace (thats why we dont see it) so maybee thats why we have the lag? because the o/s is expecting that few split seconds to complete the animation

"straws" & "clutching" come to mind Chismay!! LOL. You should have stuck with Froyo like I did! No bugs or lags & I'm not missing anything life-changing as far as I can see. GrahamF. London

lol nah im not trying to defend just thought might be the reason but I guess the theory y is blown since it doesnt happen on froyo. Forgot about that.. Oh well

I belive it might be related with the OS trying to save battery so it is like it takes the processor clock down a lot and then when you want to wake up the phone it takes a while to come back up and thats why you see a slow down there but thats just my crazy theory.
