Most Moto G5 devices are usually SIM unlocked and generally usable world-wide.
If it is SIM locked, your only real option is to get an unlock code from Vodaphone. I don't know their policy exactly but it seems pretty easy to do: https://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/unlock-code-request/

There are a lot of variables involved but generally if you buy a T-Mobile SIM and swap out the Vodafone SIM that will switch the phone to use T-Mobile's service. But this all depends on the phone model itself. If it's carrier-locked to a specific carrier (different carriers rely on different types cellular networks) than switching between the two won't work out. So what phone model do you have?
But it sounds like you want to reprogram your current SIM card, which requires buying an external SIM card reader and solid programming/hacking skillz. And the end result is still a matter where you'll be intentionally violating the Terms of Service for both Vodafone and T-Mobile.

If you mean connect to T-Mobile while using a Vodafone SIM, you need to persuade the two service providers to sign a national roaming agreement.
And reprogramming the SIM would only work if you cloned someone else's card, which is not a victimless crime (and would quickly be detected once you both connected to the network at the same time). It doesn't matter if you tell the sim to use the other network if the carrier's systems don't recognise and validate it, which means a random identifier is no use. And it would no longer work on your own network once you reprogrammed it, so if the idea was to enhance coverage by using both that's no good.

Er, no. What we were saying is that reprogramming the sim is a very bad idea, certainly criminal and undoubtedly less. useful to you than just buying a different sim.
Well. Yeah. True. I just wondered if is it possible using some sw method using root or something. But I know now that its not. So thanks for the answers.
